<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and facilitate work when directly mounting a detector on a ceiling surface without using a mounting adapter such as a detector base and to safely perform the work. <P>SOLUTION: A detector main body 12 of a smoke detector 10 has a disk shape including a vertically penetrating through-hole 14 at a center of the main body. The detector main body 12 includes, on the outer surface, a light-emitting opening 16a and a light receiving opening 18a, the respective openings are covered with transparent covers 20, and scattered light of the light that is emitted from a light-emitting element 16 towards a smoke detecting point P set at an open smoke detecting space located outside the transparent cover 20 is received by a light receiving element 18 to determine a fire. After the smoke detector 10 is mounted and fixed to the ceiling surface, a signal line at the ceiling back side is pulled out from the through-hole 14 to be connected together. A heat detector including a temperature detecting element similarly has the disk shape including the vertically penetrating through-hole 14 at a substantial center of the detector main body 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
