<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tenter apparatus that allows fixing members for fixing a base material at an inlet of the base material to be brought close to each other easily. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of right and left guide rails 68, 68 are arranged in the back-and-forth direction at the inside of a pair of right and left tenter chains 14, 16 and to the inlet of the base material F. An inlet inclination surface 70, which is inclined to protrude outward as it goes to the outlet side from the inlet side of the base material F, is formed on the outside of the respective guide rails 68, 68. One end of a first connection member 34 constituting the tenter chains 14, 16 is branched into a connection branch part 50 and an adjustment branch part 52.
