<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily-installable leading handrail while improving the transportability and storage property. <P>SOLUTION: A leading handrail 1 comprises: a horizontal member 10 bridging between columns 7 that are adjacently disposed; and two diagonal members 20, whose respective upper ends are rotatably attached to both longitudinal ends of the horizontal member 10, and onto whose respective lower ends is attached locking means 30 for locking the diagonal members to the columns 7. On the both ends of the horizontal member 10, hook parts 12 inserted into pockets 71 provided on the columns 7 are formed.
