Disclosed is an electrode for nonaqueous secondary batteries, which comprises, as an electrode active material, a lamellar structure that has: an organic skeleton layer, which contains an aromatic compound that is composed of dicarboxylic acid anions having two or more aromatic ring structures, and wherein one dicarboxylic acid anion and another dicarboxylic acid anion among the dicarboxylic acid anions are bound to diagonal positions of the aromatic compound; and an alkali metal element layer which forms a skeleton by coordinating an alkali metal element to oxygen contained a dicarboxylic acid anion. It is more preferable to use this electrode for nonaqueous secondary batteries as a negative electrode. In addition, layers of the lamellar structure are preferably formed by p-electron interaction of the aromatic compound, and the lamellar structure preferably has a monoclinic crystal structure that belongs to the space group P21/c.
|
