METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EFFICIENTLY DELIVERING SUPPLEMENTARY SERVICES TO MULTI-TECHNOLOGY CAPABLE WIRELESS TRANSMIT/RECEIVE UNITS

PURPOSE: A service providing method in a wireless transmission and reception unit and apparatus thereof are provided to improve the convenience of a user by effectively controlling a wireless service related to a wireless access technology. CONSTITUTION: A WTRU(Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit)(12) creates a WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) function report. The WTRU transmits the WLAN function report to a 3GPP(3rd Generation Partnership Project) AAA(Authentication, Authorization and Accounting) server(16). The 3GPP AAA server transmits the WLAN function report to an HSS(Home Subscriber Server)(18). The HSS updates the WLAN function. The HSS transmits a confirmation response for the report to the WTRU through the 3GPP AAA server.
