<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device that can be made in an inexpensive configuration and can efficiently emit SC light. <P>SOLUTION: A light source device 1 comprises: a fiber laser light source 10; an optical fiber 20; and an optical filter 30. The fiber laser light source 10 emits pulse laser light with a pulse width of 0.1 to 10 ns in a wavelength range of 1.55 μm band as seed light. The optical fiber 20 is a single mode optical fiber compliant with ITU-TG.652 standard. The optical fiber 20 is connected to a seed light emission end of the fiber laser light source 10 directly or via an optical fiber optical system. In the optical fiber 20, the seed light output from the fiber laser light source 10 is input to a first end of the optical fiber 20, light-guided, is expanded in the band width by a nonlinear optical phenomenon occurring in the light-guide, and emitted from a second end of the optical fiber 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
