<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starter capable of suppressing wrong assembly while improving the operating efficiency at a feeder cable assembly. <P>SOLUTION: A starter 1 comprises a rear bracket 4 (bracket) installed in an end side of a housing part 3 for housing an armature 5 (motor body), a terminal bolt 36 projecting from the rear bracket 4 and for electrically connecting the armature 5 and an external power, and a feeder cable 49 which is extended from an external power and whose one end is connected to the terminal bolt 36.
