摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an image display device including a closed vessel 1 where an electron source substrate 2 provided with a plurality of electron emitting elements 5 and a phosphor substrate 3 having an anode electrode 8 and a phosphor 9 are arranged to face with each other, in which, when residual gas is ionized by an emission of electrons of the electron emitting elements 5 and an ion current is measured at an ion collector electrode to check pressure inside the closed vessel 1, an amount of ions capable of being captured at the ion collector electrode is increased so that the degree of vacuum can be measured highly accurately. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing an image display device, while a magnetic field passing through an internal space of the closed vessel 1 is formed, the electron emitting element 5 connected to one scanning line 6a is driven to emit an electron, and an ion is captured using another scanning line 6b adjacent to the electron emitting element 5 as an ion collector electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
