<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grooving method which prevents occurrence of burrs when cutting a metal member to form a groove. <P>SOLUTION: This grooving method forms a plurality of grooves on a cutting object metal member 20 by moving a multi-cutter 10 formed by stacking a plurality of disc type cutters 14 while rotating it. The grooving method includes: a cutting-in process of cutting the cutting object metal member 20 to a predetermined depth so that a straight line connecting a first ridge line 21a of the cutting object metal member 20 to a rotary shaft C of the multi-cutter 10 is parallel to the advancing direction of the disc type cutter 14; and a first cutting process of moving the disc type cutters 14 from the first ridge line 21a toward a second ridge line 21b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
