OIL CLEANING APPARATUS AND OIL CLEANING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil cleaning apparatus and an oil cleaning method which achieve long life of a precision filter.

SOLUTION: The oil cleaning apparatus includes: a centrifugal separator; the precision filter; a main tank which stores oil to be cleaned; piping which connects at least among the centrifugal separator, the precision filter and the main tank; a supply pump provided in the piping; a stop valve provided in the piping; and a control part which controls operation of the supply pump and the stop valve. The control part controls operation of the supply pump and the stop valve in order to perform a first cleaning stage to clean the oil in the main tank only by the centrifugal separator and to return it to the main tank. After the first cleaning stage, the control part controls the operation of the supply pump and the stop valve in order to perform a second cleaning stage to clean the oil in the main tank only by the precision filter and to return it to the main tank. After the second cleaning stage, the control part controls the operation of the supply pump and the stop valve in order to perform a third cleaning stage to clean the oil in the main tank by the centrifugal separator and then by the precision filter in succession and to return it to the main tank.
