BACTERICIDE, ORAL CAVITY BACTERICIDE, STERILIZATION METHOD, STERILIZING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR EVALUATING BACTERICIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bactericide capable of enhancing bactericidal effect, an oral cavity bactericide, a sterilization method, a sterilization device, and a method for evaluating the bactericide.

SOLUTION: The bactericide containing hydrogen peroxide and catalase activity inhibitor comprising root of Scutellaria baicalensis or green tea is brought into contact with objects to be sterilized such as teeth or prosthetic teeth in an oral cavity. Then the objects to be sterilized is irradiated with light having wavelength of 350 to 500 nm by a light emitting means comprising a semiconductor laser. Thereby, hydroxy radical are generated due to optical decomposition of the hydrogen peroxide and sterilization can be done by the generated hydroxy radical.
