<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degrading of power of a light signal output from a modulation unit even when a semiconductor is used as a material of the modulation unit. <P>SOLUTION: A light modulation device includes a modulation unit for modulating input light by using an input signal, a correction unit for correcting a phase of signal light obtained by modulating the input light by the modulation unit based on an input current, a detection unit for detecting a phase difference between the signal light corrected by the correction unit and the input signal input to the modulation unit, and an adjusting unit for adjusting the input current to be input to the correction unit based on the phase difference detected by the detection unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
