<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image sensing device which can secure the necessary amount of saturation signals in an electric charge sweeping section while also improving resistance to a large amount of light, a method for driving the same, and a camera. <P>SOLUTION: The solid state imaging sensing device includes: a plurality of sensor parts 11 containing photoelectric conversion functions arranged in a matrix; a plurality of vertical transfer parts 13 for transferring signal charges read out from the sensor parts in a row arrangement direction, in a column arrangement direction; a horizontal transfer parts 15 for transferring the signal charges sent from the vertical transfer part 13 in a column arrangement direction; a charge ejection part 130, formed in the vertical transfer parts, which is capable of ejecting excess signal charges out of those sent from the vertical transfer parts to the horizontal transfer part, with the amount of charges corresponding to an applied voltage supplied; and a control block 18 which exerts control so as to vary the level of the applied voltage when signal charges are ejected by the charge ejection part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
