Assembly aperture closing device for nuclear reactor vessels. F6C. Applies to safety devices in nuclear reactors in which the reservoir is linked to the lower closing ring; the closing lid possesses a high-level ring and the rings are held by means of a screw. Peak overpressures are to be expected in safety vessels following, in particular, breakages in the primary feed when under load from the reactor. Such a vessel must be hermetically sealed to gas since accidents of this type are tied to radioactive leakage which cannot be allowed to contaminate the area surrounding the reactor. The device incorporates moving segments on a high-level closing ring fixed to an annular conical face of the lower closing ring applied to the latter without torque effect by screws located between the segments.
