<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser device that can easily control pulse intervals of an output pulse group for obtaining a laser light output of a plurality of pulses per excitation light pulse. <P>SOLUTION: A laser device 1 comprises an oscillator 10, an excitation light source 20, and an excitation optical system 30. The oscillator 10 is composed of a first reflector 11, a laser medium 12, a saturable absorber 13, and a second reflector 14. The excitation light source 20 outputs pulsed excitation light for exciting optically active material contained in the laser medium 12. The excitation optical system 30 supplies excitation light, output from the excitation light source 20, from the side of the first reflector 11 to the laser medium 12, and includes beam diameter adjustment means for adjusting the diameter of excitation light beam in the laser medium 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
