<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote handling apparatus capable of conforming the state of an operation switch of a control panel to internal information of a machine tool. <P>SOLUTION: A remote handling apparatus 20 is mountable/dismountable with respect to a control panel 4 including an operation switch for operating a machine tool 1 and remotely operating the operation switch by an operation command from a personal computer 30 that is disposed at a remote location from the machine tool 1 and has a separate body. The remote handling apparatus 20 includes: a panel mounting section 21 mounted on the operation surface of the control panel 4; an operation unit 23 for operating the operation switch; a feeding unit 22 for moving the operation unit 23 against the control panel 4; and a control unit 25 controlling the operation unit 23 and the feeding unit 22 based on the operation command.
