According to the present invention, the method for controlling the parallel operation of a multi water heater having water heaters connected in parallel to each other includes: a step of measuring the temperature of the source water introduced into the multi water heater; a step of sensing the temperature set by the user; a step of calculating the difference between the set temperature and the temperature of the source water; and a step of varying the reference value for additionally operating or stopping each water heater according to the calculated difference. Accordingly, even if the usage environment and the usage conditions of the multi water heater vary, the multi water heater can be effectively operated.
