The flowmeter (1) has heated resistance thermometers that are arranged in a plane perpendicular to the measuring tube axis. A plate (12) in the measuring tube is arranged on a connecting line between the heated resistance thermometers. The plate is arranged at a preset position within the measuring tube, such that angle (alpha ) between longitudinal axis (20) and measuring tube axis (15) is 30-60[deg] . The intersection angle of vertical axis (19) and the connecting line approximately perpendicular to the plane is in the range of -30[deg] to +30[deg] . An independent claim is included for method for determining and/or monitoring flow rate of gas/liquid through measuring tube.
