<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball that can achieve both of a spin stability on an approach shot and a flying distance on a driver shot. <P>SOLUTION: The golf ball 2 includes a core 4, a cover 10 positioned on the outside of the core 4, and a paint layer 16 covering the cover 10. The base material polymer of the cover 10 is an urethane resin. The base material polymer of the paint layer 16 is also an urethane resin. The thickness Tc (mm) of the cover 10 is not less than 0.1 mm and not more than 0.7 mm. The thickness Tp (mm) of the paint layer 16 is not less than 0.015 mm and not more than 0.040 mm. A ratio (Tp/Tc) is not less than 0.021 and not more than 0.40. Preferably, the paint layer 16 is formed of two or more layers 18 and 20.
