<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of more accurately correcting color deviation in color superposition, a method for correcting the positional deviation in the color superposition, a program for allowing a computer to execute the method, and a computer readable recording medium storing the program. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is provided with a recording head for ejecting recording liquids of two or more colors on the recording medium and performs color recording. The image forming apparatus includes a reference patch forming means that records, on the recording medium, a reference patch constituted of dot arrangement patterns which do not have any correlation among colors to be superposed by using the recording liquids of two or more colors, a detection patch group forming means that records, on the recording medium, a detection patch group having detection patches by using recording liquids of two or more colors, each of the detection patches being constituted of the dot arrangement patterns having an identical basic tone cycle among colors to be superposed and having different positional deviation amounts of the dot arrangement patterns among the patches, and a color superposition positional deviation correcting means that performs correction of positional deviation in color superposition on the basis of a result of comparison of color tones of the reference patch with each detection patch group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
