<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable wider responses to the case where various constitutions are taken, the case where a user wants to change a display and other cases. <P>SOLUTION: The game apparatus has an initial position height control means for setting arbitrarily an initial position height which is the home position of a prize acquiring section 5 at the beginning and finishing. This apparatus has a sensor for detecting that the prize acquiring section 5 reaches the upper end in the vertical movable region of the prize acquiring section 5. The initial position height control means lowers the prize acquiring section 5 from the upper end for a predetermined length to locate it at the initial position height on the basis of a detection result by the sensor.
