PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for molding a pneumatic tire capable of joining the splice parts of both ends of the rubber member wound around a tire molding drum without producing wrinkles while suppressing an increase in the size of the apparatus.

SOLUTION: The splice parts 10 are pressed from above by tensioned strip-like materials 6 and a pressure bonding roller 4 is tumbled on the splice parts 10 through the strip-like materials 6 to press and join the splice parts 10.
