<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of suppressing the partial wear of the tread. <P>SOLUTION: In this pneumatic tire 10, nonextensible cords which constitute a belt layer 14 are spirally wrapped and laminated around a tire in the circumferential direction so as to extend from a tire equatorial plane CL to the lateral outward of the tire at the winding start end 18A and from the lateral outward of the tire to the tire equatorial plane CL at the winding terminal end 18B. Where the distance between the tire equatorial plane and the winding start end is L1, the distance between the tire equatorial plane and the winding terminal end is L2, and the distance between the tire equatorial plane and the outer end of the mounted tire is W in the tire lateral direction, L1/W≥0.8 and L2/W≥0.8. A shoulder land section 42 is disposed further to the radial inward of the tire than the other land sections 36, 38, 40.
