<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining surface evaluation device and the like capable of evaluating a machining surface in a short period of time. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit 3 inputs machining shape data 27 including a surface normal vector 21 from an input unit (S11), and sets the shape of a tool and a machining parameter (S12). An image arithmetic unit 5 calculates cusp data 26 and stores the calculation result in a cusp database 20 (S13). Then, the control unit 3 searches the cusp database 20 based on the shape of the tool and the machining parameter to acquire the cusp data 26 (S14). The image arithmetic unit 5 converts the cusp data 26 into texture data (S15), maps the texture data on the machining surface of the machining shape data 27 to generate a full-face cusp (S16) and displays the full-face cusp image on a display unit 7 (S17). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
