<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extinguish a cigarette butt without using water in extinguishing the cigarette butt and moreover without using a fire extinguishing roller, a dedicated motor, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A screw-type cigarette butt ejecting device 1 is adapted to rotate a screw 4 in a screw case 3 by a driving motor 5 and to deliver the cigarette butt 7 in the screw case 3 to an ejection port 9 of the screw case 3 by the rotation of screw blades 8 of the screw 4. A fire extinguishing plate 14 is arranged in the screw case 3 on the ejection port 9 side in a rotation stop state and in a freely advancing/retreating manner with respect to the screw 4. The fire extinguishing plate 14 is energized by a spring 15 serving as an energizing means, in a reverse direction to the feed direction of the cigarette butt 7 by the screw 4. The cigarette butt extinguishing device 1 is thus constituted to hold the cigarette butt 7 between the screw blade 8 and the fire extinguishing plate 14 and to crush and extinguish the cigarette butt 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
