<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape maintaining tool which can be easily attached to and detached from a shirt. <P>SOLUTION: The shape maintaining tool 11 is attached to a laundered dress shirt in a detachable manner. The shape maintaining tool 11 is provided with a shape maintaining tool body 31 which sandwiches one overlapping end and the other overlapping end of a collar band of a collar. The shape maintaining tool body 31 has an upper surface side support 33 which supports the upper surface side of one overlapping end, a rear surface side support 34 which supports the rear surface side of the other overlapping end and an elastically deformable connection part 35 which connects the two supports 33 and 34.
