The embodiments of the invention relate to a method, a communication device and system, and a service request device for main/standby switch between communication devices. Wherein the method includes: obtaining fault information of a main communication device, and confirming that a main/standby switch is needed; sending a main/standby switch indication to a service request device, wherein the main/standby switch indication is used to indicate the service request device to switch its signaling communication pointer from a main signaling interaction interface address of the main communication device to a standby signaling interaction interface address of the standby communication device; taking over the bearing of services provided by the main communication device. The embodiments of the invention reduce the user service interruption ratio when the main/standby switch is performed between communication devices.
