<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a noise generated during an image forming operation. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus (U) includes a transport device (U4) that transports fluid inside a body (U1) of the image forming apparatus (U); a counting unit (C7) that counts a cumulative number of image forming operations; and a transport control unit (C12) that controls a start and a stop of operation of the transport device (U4) so as to keep the transport device (U4) stopped when the image forming operation is started, and to start the transport device (U4) when the cumulative number (N1) of the image forming operations has become larger than or equal to a preset number (Na). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
