<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus including a first voltage pulse of an amplitude capable of discharging an ink droplet and a non-discharge pulse by a second voltage pulse for flowing ink in a nozzle, whose amplitude is smaller than the first voltage pulse, which reduces power consumption while maintaining discharge stability. <P>SOLUTION: When a pulse for large droplet including the non-discharge pulse or a pulse for small droplet or medium droplet is selected in a subsequent drive period and when neither the pulse for large droplet nor the pulse for small droplet or medium droplet is selected in a current drive period, the non-discharge pulse is selected in the current drive period when selecting the pulse for small or medium droplet in the subsequent drive period, and the image forming apparatus creates data in which the non-discharge pulse is not selected when selecting the pulse for large droplet in the subsequent drive period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
