<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit having a standby power supply unit capable of operating a core circuit by supplying the minimum standby power source required for operating the core circuit to the core circuit in the circuit even when power cannot be supplied from a power source to the circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A circuit having a standby power supply unit 8 is operated by power supplied from a power source 1, and has a core circuit 4, a non-core circuit 6, the standby power supply unit 8, and a power source abnormality detection unit 10. The core circuit 4 has a temporary processing process. The non-core circuit 6 is connected with the power source 1 to receive power. The standby power supply unit 8 has a power storage element 84 and a one-directional element 82.
