<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the viewing quality from declining by avoiding the impact of a new function added by HDMI 1.4 on the utilization environment of a user. <P>SOLUTION: In an ARC-enabled television set 10 where an ARC-enabled amplifier 20 connected with a speaker 40 is connected by HDMI, when an audio signal output from any one of appliances 30-80 is input to the television set 10 via the amplifier 20 by HDMI connection and the appliance inputting the audio signal conforms to version 1.4 of HDMI, a control unit 11 controls the amplifier 20 so that the audio signal input to the amplifier 20 so as to be input to the television set 10 is not transmitted to the television set 10 but is output from the amplifier 20 directly to the speaker 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
