The embodiments of the invention provide a method and system for processing a short-number short message, and a service scheduling server. The method includes: receiving the short-number short message sent by a calling terminal; determining that the calling user is a subscriber; transmitting a request for number translation to a virtual private network platform; receiving the real number of a called user sent by the virtual private network platform; furthermore, replacing the short-number of the called user in the short-number short message by the real number of the called user to create a long-number short message; and transmitting the long-number short message to a short message service center, for the short message service center to transmit the long-number short message to the called terminal. It has stronger feasibility by applying the solution for processing the short-number short message of the embodiments of the invention.
