<p>An optical system (100) of the present invention has a reflective image-forming element (11). A ?/4 wave plate (21a) is disposed on the second main surface side of the reflective image-forming element (11), and a ?/4 wave plate (21b) is disposed on the first main surface side of the reflective image-forming element (11). Furthermore, a polarization plate (22a) is disposed on the opposite side to the reflective image-forming element (11) with respect to the ?/4 wave plate (21a). Layers formed of a transparent member (24) are respectively formed between the reflective image-forming element (11) and the ?/4 wave plate (21b), between the reflective image-forming element (11) and the ?/4 wave plate (21a), and between the ?/4 wave plate (21a) and the polarization plate (22a). The transparent member (24) is optically isotropic, and has a refractive index (n). Light inputted to the ?/4 wave plate (21b) from a subject to be projected (30) is linearly polarized light.</p> |
