<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition, wherein whether a refrigerant composition is diluted or altered can be positively determined after leaving the custody of the original manufacturer or previous supplier source. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a tracer-containing composition comprising: a refrigeration/heating fluid (i) that contains a fluorocarbon refrigerant selected from an unsaturated fluorocarbon refrigerant and other functionalized fluorocarbon refrigerant; and at least one tracer compound (ii), wherein the tracer compound can be analyzed and is selected from the group consisting of hydrofluorocarbons, deuterated hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons, fluoroethers, brominated compounds, iodated compounds, alcohols, aldehydes and ketones, nitrous oxide and combinations thereof, provided that the refrigeration/heating fluid is different from the tracer compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
