<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive assist system providing a proper drive assist. <P>SOLUTION: The drive assist system sets a kinetic model of a vehicle, a rule for a passing point of the vehicle at a corner, and a rule for how to use a friction circle representing a time-series change pattern of a vehicle acceleration (acceleration change pattern). When the rule for how to use the friction circle, any acceleration model suitable for a driver is selected out of a plurality of acceleration models (friction circle models), and by using the acceleration model, the acceleration change pattern of the vehicle in a driving process at the corner is set based on passing data of each corner. Then, the drive assist system generates a driving plan satisfying three conditions, namely, the kinetic model of the vehicle, the passing point of each corner, and the acceleration change pattern, by using a solution to a boundary value problem. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
