<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent toner capable of stably maintaining high picture quality without depending on a use environment or a period of time when the toner is left to stand. <P>SOLUTION: The toner contains toner particles obtained by adding a polymerizable monomer composition containing at least a polymerizable monomer, a colorant and a hydroxyl group-containing styrene resin in an aqueous medium, granulating the polymerizable monomer composition in the aqueous medium to form particles of the polymerizable monomer composition, and polymerizing the polymerizable monomer included in the particles of the polymerizable monomer composition. The colorant contains rosin by 5 mass% or more and 30 mass% or less. When a surface tension of the rosin dissolved in toluene with respect to water measured by a pendant drop method is denoted by α (mN/m), α is 20 or more and 28 or less. When a surface tension of the hydroxyl group-containing styrene resin dissolved in toluene with respect to water measured by a pendant drop method is denoted by β (mN/m), β is 20 or more and 33 or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
