<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule type endoscope 10 which prevents erroneous start before use while preventing consumption of a battery 19. <P>SOLUTION: The capsule type endoscope 10 includes: a biological information acquisition section 26 for acquiring biological information in the body of a subject; a battery 19 for supplying electric power; a detection section 20 for outputting a detection signal S20 upon detection of introduction into the body of the subject; a signal receiving section 11 for receiving a control signal from the outside and outputting an internal signal S1; and a control section 21 for controlling supply of electric power from the battery 19 to the biological information acquisition section 26 in accordance with the internal signal S1 and the detection signal S20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
