摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a shift to a power saving mode in a configuration unit requiring a time to restore to a standby state, with a reduced waiting time at the execution of a job using the configuration unit, in an image formation device capable of independently controlling the power supply mode of each configuration unit. <P>SOLUTION: On receiving a job request, a controller 5 calculates a time required for the job execution by referring to data in a ROM 10, and obtains a preliminary operation time (warm-up time) of a configuration unit unnecessary for the job. On starting the job, the controller 5 intercepts power supply to a configuration unit having a shorter preliminary operation time than the time required for the job execution. At a time point when the preliminary operation time becomes equal to the job execution time, the controller 5 starts power supply to the configuration unit.
