<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress crimping of twisted yarns of filaments in a base fabric of a felt for papermaking including the twisted yarns of the filaments. <P>SOLUTION: The press felt for papermaking has a base fabric 2 obtained by entangling warps 8 composed of a plurality of upper warps 6 and lower warps 7 extending along the longitudinal direction and arranged alternately with a plurality of wefts 9 extending along the width direction, and integrating batt fibers on a papermaking face side and a travelling face side of the base fabric by needling. Each of the wefts is a twisted yarn obtained by twisting a plurality of filaments. The upper warps are entangled by the wefts with a unit texture which is constituted in such a manner that the upper warps straddle continuously over not less than three wefts on the paper-making face side, and thereafter dive continuously under not more than thus- continuously-straddled-over wefts and not less than two wefts on the travelling face side. The lower warps are entangled by the wefts with a unit texture which is constituted in such a manner that the lower warps dive continuously under not less than three wefts on the papermaking face side, and thereafter straddle continuously over not more than thus-continuously-dived-under wefts and not less than two wefts on the travelling face side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
