<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counterweight block method for improving the wave-resistant stability of a caisson breakwater which achieves a construction structure that is easy to build underwater and unfailingly increases friction between a counterweight block and a rubble mound in order to inhibit sliding and rocking movements of the caisson; reduces size of the installation cross section of the counterweight block to avoid interference with the draft of ships; and reduces usage amount of concrete intending to be economical and to reduce CO2 emission. <P>SOLUTION: In the present invention, a counterweight block method for improving the wave-resistant stability of a caisson breakwater includes weights 4 with required weight, which are placed on a rubble mound 2 around a caisson 3, composed of either frame-body concrete blocks with their inside spaces filled with rubble or solid concrete blocks with their center through-holes filled with rubble. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
