A charging device (200) which converts power from an external power supply (260) into a charge of an electricity accumulation device (110) is configured to be capable of bidirectional power conversion. An AC/DC converter (210) of an external charging system converts AC power of power cables (ALC1, ALC2) to a charge of an auxiliary battery (180). A DC/DC converter (170) of a vehicle drive system converts power from the electricity accumulation device (110) to the charge of the auxiliary battery (180). When there is a request for charging the auxiliary battery, a control device (300) selectively executes, according to the output status of the auxiliary battery, a first charge which converts the power of the accumulation device (110) with the DC/DC converter and charges the auxiliary battery (180), and a second charge which converts the power of the accumulation device (110) with an accumulation device (200) and the AC/DC converter (210) and charges the auxiliary battery (180). |
