<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a lever connector which is of low cost and has improved reliability of connection. Locking humps (47) protruding in the direction intersecting the pivoting direction of a lever (51) are formed on a connector housing. The lever (51) has formed thereon locking protrusions (57) protruding in the direction opposite the direction in which the locking humps (47) protrude and engaging with the locking humps (47) when the lever (51) is caused to pivot to a connected and locked position. The locking humps (47) each have a tapered surface (48) which is located further toward the locking position of the lever (51) than the top (47a) of the locking hump (47) and which, while extending in the direction in which the lever (51) is locked, gradually slopes in the direction in which the locking protrusion (57) protrudes. When sliding the locking protrusions (57) over the tops (47a) of the locking humps (47) and along the tapered surfaces (48) and engaging the locking protrusions (57) on the tapered surfaces (48), a pivoting force acting in the locking direction is imparted to the lever (51), and the operation section (58) of the lever (51), the operation section (58) comprising a connection section (53), is brought into contact with the lever contacting sections (45) of the connector housing.</p> |
