<p>The present invention relates to a method for determining the optical-energy transmission of a sheet of a transparent or translucent material, including the following consecutive steps: a) exposing the sheet to electromagnetic radiation, the sheet being placed between the radiation source and a photovoltaic measuring cell, the sheet completely covering the cell, and the irradiance of the radiation being maintained at a selected constant value; b) the cell capturing the energy transmitted through the sheet; c) measuring the response of the cell to the radiation; and d) converting the response of the cell to an optical-energy transmission value. Such a method has good reliability, particularly for sheets of scattering material, and the measurements thereof have good reproducibility. Said method further enables a simplified, more precise, and more rapid measurement to be performed on sheets having a larger surface area. The invention also relates to a device for implementing such a method.</p> |
