<p>The present invention provides: a lighting device that efficiently dissipates heat generated by a light-emitting element, minimizing decreases in the service life and emission efficiency of said light-emitting element; and a liquid-crystal display device provided with said lighting device. This lighting device is provided with a substrate to which a light-emitting element is attached, a heatsink, and a substrate anchor plate. The substrate is attached to one surface of the heatsink, and the substrate anchor plate is attached to the surface of the heatsink opposite the surface to which the substrate is attached. The lighting device is also provided with a heat-dissipating columnar member fitted into through-holes provided in the substrate and the heatsink. The surfaces of said heat-dissipating columnar member in contact with the substrate and the heatsink are smooth.</p> |
