<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data compression method and a data compression device capable of performing compression of moving image data by incorporating information necessary for improving resolution at a decoding side, while maintaining compression efficiency and quality of a moving image to be decoded. <P>SOLUTION: The data compression method comprises processes of: dividing image data corresponding to 1 frame into a plurality of blocks; detecting a motion vector of at least one block of a plurality of blocks; setting a flag in the block based on the motion vector; performing a first reduction processing for a first block for which a flag is set; and performing a second reduction processing for a second block for which a flag is not set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
