<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger improving heat exchange performance without reducing pressure-resistance strength of shells. <P>SOLUTION: A water-cooled condenser 1 includes sheet members 30 intervening between adjacent shells 10 at positions around communication holes 14 and communicates the communication holes 14 of the adjacent shells 10. The plurality of shells 10 are laminated while making the sheet members 30 intervene between them around the communication holes 14. Mutually-contacting positions of a first plate 11, a second plate 12, an inner fin 20, and the sheet members 30 are joined by brazing.
