<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which causes little generation of a volatile organic compound (VOC) by heating in fixing the toner, reduces contamination on the back face of a printing sheet, causes little generation of filming and shows excellent separating property from a sheet during fixing, excellent fluidity and replenishing property, and excellent transfer efficiency, achieves both of low-temperature fixability and heat-resistant storage property and gives an image of high picture quality, while maintaining advantages of a chemical toner that the toner has a small particle diameter with a narrow grain size distribution and excellent fluidity. <P>SOLUTION: The toner is obtained by emulsifying or dispersing a toner material liquid, which is prepared by dissolving or dispersing a toner material in an oil-based medium, in an aqueous medium, and granulating the toner material. The toner contains a hydrocarbon wax showing a mass reduction of 10 mass% or less at 165°C. The viscosity η of the toner measured by a rheometer and the amount W of the wax oozing out during fixing satisfy an expression (1): 40≥η×(W-0.18)≥13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
