<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake control device of an internal combustion engine which can restrain a smoke quantity in a high load. <P>SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine 2 includes a first port 11 for generating a swirl flow SWR, and a second port 12 for generating a tumble flow TMB. In the high load, an EGR valve 33 supplies recirculating gas from an EGR system 30 only to the second port 12, and supplies the recirculating gas to an inside area in the radial direction of a combustion chamber 6. As a result of this, an ignition delay becomes large, and generation of smoke is restrained. In a low load, the EGR valve 33 supplies the recirculating gas only to the first port 11, and supplies the recirculating gas to an outside area in the radial direction of the combustion chamber 6. As a result of this, the ignition delay becomes small. An annular air layer including the recirculating gas much, also restrains a cooling loss by an inner surface of a cylinder 3, and improves combustion consumption. The swirl flow SWR can also be maintained in the outside area in the radial direction by centrifugal force by cooling the intake temperature of the first port 11 by a temperature adjusting system 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
