PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor containing a specified charge transporting substance, the photoreceptor showing an excellent balance between sustained reduction of contact stress with a contact member or the like and potential stability in repeated use.

SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a charge transporting layer which is a surface layer, and the charge transporting layer has a matrix-domain structure comprising: a matrix containing a component [β] (at least one selected from a polycarbonate resin C having a specified repeating structural unit and a polyester resin D having a specified repeating structural unit) and a component [γ] (a charge transporting substance having a specified structure); and a domain containing a component [α] (a polycarbonate resin A having a repeating structural unit including a specified siloxane moiety).
