<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable avoidance of problems of stress concentration and strain due to welding causes in an exhaust gas purifying apparatus 1. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust gas purifying apparatus 1 includes a plurality of gas purifying filters 2. 3 for purifying exhaust gas from an engine 70, and a plurality of cases 4. 5, 20, 21, 31, 32 for accommodating the respective gas purifying filters 2, 3. The adjoining cases 5, 21 (21, 32) cause joining flanges 25, 26 (40, 41) extending to the outer peripheral side thereof to be butt-joined.
